SSFCU is one of the largest credit union in the United States. Naturally, I wrote a lot of overdubbed Colombian telenovelas. And other stuff, too.
What I loved most about this project was the client relationship. At a production dinner, one client in particular would order the most expensive bourbon (literally “I’ll have your most expensive bourbon.”) served with a can of Diet Pepsi and a pint glass. I’ll admit I shouldn’t knock it because I haven’t had $135 bourbon with Diet Pepsi. Maybe this person unlocked the secret to his own infinite happiness. He once told me how much he loved his wife, and explained it with “We smoke the same brand of cigarettes. We always have and we always will.”
